Room sets that have to work like real rooms
The Artefacto store on Haddock Lobo shows furniture in complete room sets, side by side, across several floors. Anyone walking in has to believe that this is a living room, not a display — the lighting is what sustains that illusion.
Each set received the treatment it would have in a home: perimeter light, accents on the artwork, light inside the joinery and a level of its own, adjustable without affecting the room next door.
Display rooms
- Curved coves with indirect light following the ceiling design, setting the general level with no visible source.
- Light inside the shelving and niches, shelf by shelf, so the displayed object does not depend on the ceiling.
- Adjustable spots over the artwork, with a narrow beam and set back into the ceiling.
- Lit curtain pelmets behind the fabric, suggesting daylight in rooms without windows.
Wine cellar, garden and café
- The glazed wine cellar is lit from within and works as the light source of the room it stands in.
- In the internal courtyard, in-ground floodlights on the tree and grazing light on the green wall.
- In the café, low-level table light, with the counter and the stone wall receiving accents of their own.
