Art, a collection and a light that never shows itself
The Tatuí Apartment is the home of people who live with art. Paintings, sculptures, ceramics and books occupy shelves, sideboards and entire walls, and the lighting design was made for those pieces — not for the ceiling.
The general light comes from a continuous slot in the ceiling that runs through the social area and the circulation without interruption. No fixture competes for visual space with the collection.
Living areas
- A single linear slot crossing living room, dining room and hall, with the light reflected by the ceiling and the pale walls.
- Light inside every niche of the shelving, which makes the joinery work as a display case.
- LED strip under the sideboard and under the green granite bar counter, marking the volume and bringing out the stone.
- Accent spots reserved for the artwork, with the rest of the room at a lower level.
Circulation and private areas
- In the closet corridor, a plane of diffuse light in the ceiling lights the doors on both sides equally.
- In the powder room, the photography wall is lit from above, and the counter has its own light over the basin.
- In the master suite the light is indirect and lower, with the headboard and the reading light solved separately.
