Countryside House
The monumentality of the palms revealed in light
In the Countryside House, WeLight draws the outdoor space with the same delicacy applied to interiors. Here light works as a silent choreography — revealing textures, accentuating heights and creating depth in the green with technical and poetic precision.
The lighting scheme was built to keep the planting in the leading role, bringing out the imperial and exotic palms, the sculptural canopies and the vertical movement of the foliage.
Lighting strategy
- Floodlights with narrow, asymmetric beams bring out the tall trunks with a vertical grazing effect, without polluting the surroundings.
- Fixtures with neutral colour temperature (3000K) guarantee visual fidelity of the planting at night, with no artificial cast.
- UGR and glare control, avoiding light spill and preserving the night sky.
- Scenes overlapping beams on different planes, creating depth, volume and rhythm.
Elements brought out
- Palms and coconut trees lit from below, showing their monumental scale and casting sculptural shadows on the ground.
- Masses of tropical planting with shallow, diffuse beams, creating the atmosphere of woodland without artifice.
- Reflecting pools and gentle paths receive bounced lighting, guiding the route with poetry.
Technical resources
- In-ground floodlights with IP67 protection rating
- Anti-glare lenses and beams between 10° and 30°
- Colour temperature: 3000K
- Scene automation: sequential or full switch-on
- Equipment compatible with DALI or 0-10V
In short
In the Countryside House, WeLight turns a tropical garden into a sensory stage where light and planting dance in silence.
A project that respects nature, brings out the architecture of the green and creates a night-time experience that is monumental and intimate at once.
