Light that contemplates, protects and reveals memories
This house in Morumbi is an exercise in silent architecture, where light works as an element of contemplation and narrative. The lighting design signed by WeLight brings out the personal and cultural collection of the residents with technical precision and aesthetic sensitivity.
Among sophisticated, discreet rooms, the lighting reinforces the architectural gesture, creates soft transition zones and puts the essential in evidence: art, literature and permanence.
Lighting concept
The project starts from the premise of respecting and amplifying the introspective atmosphere of the house. Recessed linear profiles and diffuse perimeter light outline the architecture elegantly. Colour temperature between 2700K and 3000K reinforces the sense of welcome without compromising colour fidelity.
In the library — the heart of the project — technical lighting with high CRI (>90) reveals every detail of the original French first editions, while creating an aura of preservation and nobility.
By contrast, the living and outdoor areas open to the garden with precise scenographic lighting, bringing out the planting and extending the perception of space into the night.
Rooms in focus
- Glazed library: backlit shelves with neutral, diffuse light create a museum-like atmosphere, revealing rare volumes with glare control and uniformity.
- Living room and artwork: recessed lighting with precise aiming highlights the Vik Muniz triptych and other pieces of the collection, without interfering with the ambience or creating visual noise.
- Garden and pool area: technical floodlights with controlled beams bring out the vertical planting and create continuity between inside and outside.
- Kitchen and dining: functional light with a scenographic accent creates welcoming scenes, with discreet technical tracks and anti-glare diffusers.
